Lebanon dan Sri Lanka adalah dua negara yang terpisah, tetapi mereka memiliki kesamaan sejarah gejolak politik dan kekerasan yang menyebabkan runtuhnya ekonomi.

Di Sri Lanka, keluarga Rajapaksa telah memonopoli politik di negara kepulauan itu selama beberapa dekade.
