Dikepung Taliban, Warga Afghanistan Kabur ke Tenda-Tenda

Banyaknya wilayah di utara Afghanistan yang telah jatuh ke tangan Taliban, ribuan warga meninggalkan rumah mereka untuk mencari tempat aman di Ibu Kota Kabul.

Dilansir dari Associated Press, Taliban telah membuat kekuasaan besar dalam beberapa hari terakhir, termasuk merebut Herat dan Kandahar, kota terbesar kedua dan ketiga di negara itu. Mereka sekarang menguasai 18 dari 34 provinsi Afghanistan, meninggalkan pemerintah yang didukung Barat mengendalikan segelintir provinsi di tengah dan timur, serta Kabul dan Mazar-e-Sharif. Sebelumnya Amerika Serikat (AS) memprediksi Taliban akan mengisolasi ibu kota Kabul dalam 30 hari dan mengambil alih dalam 90 hari kedepan. Hal ini berdasarkan fakta bahwa Taliban sudah merebut delapan ibu kota provinsi Afghanistan.Dikutip dari Detikcom, menurut Organisasi Internasional PBB untuk Migrasi pada Selasa (10/8) lalu, lebih dari 359.000 orang di Afghanistan telah mengungsi karena rentetan pertempuran sepanjang tahun ini.(AP Photo/Rahmat Gul)
