Government support Stark Industries in RI, What Can That Be?

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The Ministry of Communication and Informatics encourages the development technology-based private companies, like a fictional private company called stark industries owned by Tony Stark AKA Ironman in the Marvel Cinematic Universe

This was said by the Minister of Communication and Informatics, Johnny G Plate, when opening the Industrial Task Force (ITF) at the 2022 4^th Digital Economy Working Group (DEWG) event in Badung, Bali on Monday (29/8/2022).

According to him, these movies have inspired Indonesia Government to participate in developing the technology-based private sector from now on to the future.

"The presence of the private sector in the current digital era like the Stark Industries in the marvel movie stories, is very important, it is not just a fiction," he said in a written statement, Monday (29/8/2022).

According to him, the stories in the marvel movies show the development of modern digital technology that is developing, such as artificial intelligence (AI). The help of a robot is said to have a big influence on marvel heroes struggles.

"With the advent of technologies such as self-driving cars, advance robotic assistance, and AI-based technologies today, it's starting to feel like we're actually living in a science fiction movie," he added,

Through the ITF event at the DEWG 2022 event, The Ministry of Communication and Informatics wants to make it as one of the media in encouraging the development of the technology-based private sector. With collaboration between stakeholders from within and outside the country, Indonesia wants to be able to encourage this development more quickly.

Johnny added that ITF DEWG G20 is expected to bring innovation to the development of technology in the country. Moreover, ITF DEWG G20 showcases the creativity of Indonesia business actors in adopting technological development that suit the needs of the times.

That way, the world community is aware of various technological developments that have been adopted by Indonesian business actors. Thus, it can open up opportunities for cooperation in the future.

As an information, ITF is part of the fourth DEWG meeting in Bali. The delegates will continue to discuss the G20 Digital Ministerial Declaration draft, which will be called The Bali Package.

After that, the declaration draft of the Bali package will be discussed again to get finalize by the ministers of the G20 digital sector at the G20 digital economy ministers meeting (DEMM) on September 1, 2022.

For the next four days, the Ministry of Communication and Informatics will hold the 4th digital Economy Working Group (DEWG) followed by the digital economy ministerial meeting (DEMM) at Mulia Resort, Nusa Dua. In this meeting, the DEWG task force will demonstrate the adoption of Indonesia's digital technology to all delegates from G20 member countries as form of collaboration between the government and the industry.
