Dalam iringan korps diplomatik tersebut turut serta Kuasa Usaha Ad Interim (KUAI) KBRI Islamabad. Adapun KUAI KBRI Islamabad dan seluruh rombongan korps diplomatik dalam keadaan aman dan telah kembali ke Islamabad dengan selamat. (Reuters)

Kemlu menyatakan hingga saat ini belum terdapat pihak yang menyatakan bertanggungjawab. Adapun jumlah WNI yang tercatat tinggal menetap di Pakistan sejumlah sekitar 1.200 orang. Mayoritas adalah pelajar dan WNI yg menikah dengan warga negara Pakistan. (Reuters)
