Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The G20 Summit event at The Apurva Kempinski, Nusa Dua, Bali, entered its final day, Wednesday (16/11/2022). This third working session discussed digital transformation.

"Digital economy is the key to the future of world economy," said President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) during his speech.

According to Jokowi, the digital economy is the main pillar of world economic resilience because it contributes 15.5% to global gross domestic product (GDP). Not only that, the digital economy opens up opportunities for small communities to become part of the global supply chain.

Jokowi emphasized that as the G20 Presidency, Indonesia encourages digital transformation to accelerate global recovery. Under Indonesia's Presidency, the Digital Economy Working Group (DEWG) began to run.

"The G20 also encourages the development of potential startups through digital innovation network," Jokowi said.
