Sebanyak 77 polisi dan 12 staf kebersihan yang dikerahkan untuk acara tersebut dinyatakan positif Covid-19. Pakar kesehatan sebelumnya meminta agar festival serupa di negara bagian Uttar Pradesh dibatalkan, tetapi pemerintah tetap melanjutkan dengan mengatakan aturan keselamatan akan diikuti.
