Dilansir dari Associated Press, Taliban telah membuat kekuasaan besar dalam beberapa hari terakhir, termasuk merebut Herat dan Kandahar, kota terbesar kedua dan ketiga di negara itu. Sebelumnya Amerika Serikat (AS) memprediksi Taliban akan mengisolasi ibu kota Kabul dalam 30 hari dan mengambil alih dalam 90 hari kedepan. Hal ini berdasarkan fakta bahwa Taliban sudah merebut delapan ibu kota provinsi Afghanistan.Dikutip dari Detikcom, menurut Organisasi Internasional PBB untuk Migrasi pada Selasa (10/8) lalu, lebih dari 359.000 orang di Afghanistan telah mengungsi karena rentetan pertempuran sepanjang tahun ini.(AP Photo/Rahmat Gul)
