Seperti dilaporkan, Straits Times Jumat (28/5) pengumuman disampaikan oleh Perdana Menteri Malaysia Muhyiddin Yassin. Keputusan ini diumumkan sesaat setelah Malaysia melaporkan 8.290 kasus baru Covid-19, rekor harian tertinggi semenjak pandemi. Dengan begitu, total kasus kumulatif sejak dimulainya pandemi di Malaysia menjadi 549.514 kasus.
